NB-IoT & LTE-M

In the past, mobile telephony was not an option for seamless, energy-efficient and secure data exchange, as the power consumption and lack of network coverage of traditional GSM data services stood in the way.

With Narrow-Band IOT (NB-IoT) and LTE-M, it became possible to transfer data to cloud applications in an energy-efficient via  a mobile data connection. Both radio standards are part of the LTE standard family and utilise the globally available LTE network infrastructure.

This cellular wireless technology thus forms the basis for IOT applications with long runtimes of up to several years on a single battery charge. This now enables a wide range of applications for healthcare, monitoring critical infrastructures, logistics and industrial sensors.
